Appalachian Trail 1

This is the southernmost section of the Appalachian Trail and goes north from the summit of Springer Mountain to intersection with Georgia Highway 60. Shelters along this route include Springer Mountain Shelter, Stover Creek Shelter, Hawk Mountain Shelter, and Gooch Mountain Shelter.
